How to Apply

Entering Georgian students must have successfully completed seven years of schooling. Normally, we fill all our available places during eighth-grade admissions. Fluency in Georgian is necessary when applying to the 8th grade (Junior High School). Therefore, international students cannot be considered for the Junior High School program, unless they demonstrate a good knowledge of Georgian. The school does, however, consider the applications of transfer students (both Georgian and international), space permitting, in grades 9, 10, 11, and, rarely, 12, but such students must demonstrate a high level of academic preparation and strong English skills.

Parents must notify the school about students with special needs, and in such cases, additional evaluations may be necessary to ensure that the school is equipped to provide the support needed. Since English will be the primary language of instruction in upper grades (9–11), incoming students must demonstrate fluency and a record of academic achievement that prepares them to undertake a rigorous course of study.

Admission to the 8th-grade program is based on three tests, each of which is independently scored: a Georgian, an English, and a Math test, whereas incoming 9–11 graders take only two tests (English and Math), administered by our respective departments. After that, a personal interview will take place. Results from the tests and interviews will determine the final selection of the incoming students.
