The study of history covers major issues in the history of the world and of Georgia. The focus is on understanding key events, key ideas, and key values through the history of mankind. The subject of history also considers raising an awareness of current events and worldwide trends. Historical study involves readings, discussion, writing assignments, presentations and the preparation of at least one major project both on the individual and the class level. Assignments are issued daily and the use of computer technologies with related skills constantly encouraged.

Studies begin with the origins of humans, early forms of societies, and ancient civilization from Egypt and Mesopotamia, India and China and the Americas to Greece and Rome, including related periods in Georgia. Sophomore year includes the history of China and India, world religions through the Middle Ages, again with related periods of Georgian history.
