Convocation Ceremony

On September 9, 2019, the Guivy Zaldastanishvili American Academy in Tbilisi held the Convocation.
The Convocation Ceremony "calls together" the students, teachers, the parents' council, and the trustees of the American Academy to celebrate the beginning of the new school year. This year, Mamuka Khazaradze, the school Trustee and Co-Chair addressed the students. In his closing remarks, Andres J. Cruz, the Principle, congratulated the school community on the beginning of the new academic year.
In the beginning and at the end of the ceremony, the Georgian and school anthems were played.
The Convocation Ceremony was initiated by the academy's Founding Director, Donald W. Thomas in 2013, since then it has become the school tradition.
