American Academy Students on Field Trips

Our journey continues to various regions of Georgia, where American Academy students learn about the rich history and culture of the country.
The eighth-grade students explored Dmanisi. The ninth-grade students visited Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, Samtavro Monastery, and the medieval monastic complex Shio-Mgvime, while sophomores explored the ancient caves of Uplistsikhe in Gori. Vardzia, a two-day trip, became a traditional spot for juniors, where they visited the Samtskhe-Javakheti History Museum and Rabati fortress. And finally, seniors made the trip to Tao-klarjeti and explored the cathedrals of Tbeti and Khakhuli Monastery, Oshkhi, Otkhta Eklesia, Ishkhani, Bana, and the biggest monastery, Khandzta.
